To ensure correct sizing we advise customers to measure an existing girth from top of buckle one end to top of buckle the other end. Girths do stretchso asize marked ona used girthis not always reliable. Please also note there is 2 3/4″ of girth beyond the buckle each end making the total length 5 1/2″ longer than the marked length, we advise this is taken into account when measuring to ensure the girth does not interfere with the bottom of the saddle flap
The Fairfax Performance Girth is lined with Prolite – known for its ability to distribute pressure, absorb impact and prevent rubbing.
New construction method allows the Prolite edge “to float” so the horse’s muscles can move underneath rather than bang against.
Combination of the contour and the cushioning creates a buffer zone and prevents a “hard” edge.
increases the horse’s performance by dramatically reducing pressure, it applies up to 85% less pressure at the key spots where a girth “bites”, significantly increasing range of movement and eliminating gait asymmetry.
The girth is dramatically curved on the front edge to create room behind the elbow, where the bulk of muscle becomes trapped between the girth and the legs. This leading edge is then structured to guide the muscles back under the girth, rather than blocking them, which happens in some girths.
The Narrow Gauge version is designed specifically to fit those horses (and most ponies) with a narrower rib cage.
To check whether a horse falls into the narrow gauge category, measure the flat area between the horse’s elbows. If the measurement is less than 20cm then the narrow gauge version is needed to ensure a perfect fit between the front legs.
